Occupied North History And Culture Mini Bus Tour
Apostolos Varnavas – Bellapais – Keryneia
Join us on an in-depth journey to the most glorious places in the occupied north!
We commence our tour with a pilgrimage visit to the tomb of the patron Saint of Cyprus, Apostolos Varnavas, where the apostle was found embracing the gospel of St Mathew.
We then make our way onto the historical city of Keryneia where ample free time is given for you to explore the beautiful harbour, for lunch and or an optional visit to the Byzantine Castle.
The day concludes with a visit to the tranquil village of Bellapais where again free time is given for either coffee or a visit to the 13th century abbey/monastery. With its breath-taking views, tiny streets and ancient buildings around every corner, the village has changed little since it was immortalized by Lawrence Durrell in the 1950s.
Refreshments, lunch and entrance fees to some of the places visited are all optional extras.
